Could be towards the bouncing lights, passing it or away from it. It makes no difference, they will all see the triangular path as I stated earlier and as you can see in the video.

Yes, that needs a small correction. To avoid having to make the math more complicated I added the second observer on the train. After applying the correction that you mention, you will get the triangular path that I was talking about all along and that you see in the video.
Now, who is making it more complicated than necessary?

Your two sentences are full with errors and ambiguous.

So what you read here is "stay away from math", and that makes you feel good, because, let me guess, math is not your strongest point.
This statement does certainly not apply to time dilation, because time dilation is a proven fact. It has been proven experimentally and, as I mentioned earlier, it is being used for example in our GPS.

I will take that as a hint. Good luck disproving that grass is green!

The light moves straight in all directions and will curve if there is gravity

You correct for distance and curvature of light from gravity..

Whats your point the farther from a light you are=more time delay

Where is this triangulation at? Edit i beleive you mean the time interval between moment a and moment b and the witness on the train

Where is time dilation? Where is Twin paradox?

Im trying to empatize and paint a picture in my head of what youre describing because you leave out crucial details my friend..
The prroblem witth this is how does one measure the triangular path of light accuratly from a distance, with different tools you get different answers

(light from moment a to moment b then light going to person on a train is the triangular path im assuming)

if you are stationary and close by the light and see and measure the light move 3 meters then that is a true most accurate measuremant

Now are you suggesting people on the train at a certain distance will see the light move 4 meters?? How so
Originally posted by Ernst View Post

If that is the case, let's put two people on the train passing the clock. The first person passes the clock at moment A and the second person passes at moment B. They have both seen the triangular path...
Let's put some numbers on this example. Suppose the train is driving at half the light speed. Then the diagonal (both in the upward direction as in the downward direction) is equal to the base of the triangle. (the light goes diagonally up 2 meters, and we drive 1 meter, then it goes diagonally down 2 meters and we drive again 1 meter. So all sides of the triangle are 2 meter). The person sitting next to the clock sees the light going up √3 meter, and going down √3 meter (ask Pythagoras), that is about 3.46 meters, while the train people see the light move 4 meters.
Where and how does your correction apply?

Now who is adding unnecessary complications? Gravitation? time delay?

            no other possibility.

Standing next to it with no horizontal movement with respect to this clock, you will see it go up √3 meter, then go down √3 meter, total distance being 2√3 meter or roughly 3.46 meters.

You don't need to paint a picture in your head, it is all done for you! Watch the video, you will see it right in front of you.

light takes 32-52 minites to reach earth from jupiter

Johnny, listen, or actually read this carefully:
I know what time delay is and I am not disagreeing with your remark about Jupiter.
I am fully aware of these facts.
                          Clear now?
                          Can we move on now?
So when you are viewing an event happening on Jupiter you will have to either:
A - apply some mathematical corrections or
B - bring someone so close that there is virtually no time delay and get your data from this observer
                          Is that clear now, Johnny?
Can we take the next step now?
I have chosen, for the sake of simplicity, for option B; putting in a second observer.
No matter how you twist and turn, Johnny, it is a simple fact that in the given example, while the light goes up, our train moves 1 meter, hence the distance to the light beam increases with 1 meter and therefore the light beam travels further than when you are standing next to the clock.
Watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHRK6ojWdtU (in case you can not find the link) starting at 7:38 up to 8:20.
There you have it, time dilation. If you can not see a triangular path in the upper half and a straight path in the lower half then this might be easier to explain to amoebae on Mars than to you.
The way you are going to measure this path may require some mathematical corrections depending on how you decide to measure it. But (after applying the appropriate corrections) you will end up with the numbers that I gave you in my example.

                          For your amusement, then.
If your twin travel 1 half the speed of light
I presume you mean 50% the speed of light? with respect to what?
for and came back to earth after 20 years
For?? It looks as if you want to say that he went away, turned around, and came back.
                          after 20 years
20 years for who? I presume you mean for those on Earth.
you could see his flight trail/hologram or impression in the sky for years to come
The light that reflects of me will travel through the universe for billions of years, just likewise. What is your point?
but he would return 20 years older
Older than what? Let me guess, older than when he left?
                          no time dilation...
You are dead-wrong. While travelling at a constant or accelerating velocity away from Earth, there was time dilation. Likewise on the way back. But when he turned around things happened to his time-line that compensate this time dilation, so that when he returns he will still be the same age as you.
only his blur in the sky would be present for a few years
And yours and mine and those of billions of other people.
This is an utterly useless addition, having nothing to do with relativity whatsoever.
                          Please debunk the above ernst

Because with relativity and time dilation my twin should be less than 20 years older wich is obviously wrong
Only your assumption that relativity would give the wrong answer is wrong. This remark shows how little you know on the subject.

ok so your light then right? then if you go forward and at the speed of light going at the same speed again. what would it matter to who looked? dont they in the relativity thing say you age slower or something like that, becuase time is the same as light? or time is like not moving while light is moving and you age less if yo8u move faster? so who sees it or not isnt important. so also, if you move backwards, and what are you light? when you hit your still being seen by someone else, view of you, if you travelled, faster than light? then wouldnt you kill yourself by running into yourself? your light right but if you take and punch yourself, you dont just pass your fist through your head. so how can you pass your self up faster than the speed of light, catch back up with yourself on the way back turning around, doesnt matter who sees you, then not kill yourself whne you run into yourself cause someone sees you goign that way, when you hit yourself?
