I got it !
Well thank you lidmotor for the cool gadget . Jonnydavro gave me the hint that to start the oscillation you have to spin a magnet in front of it .It lit right up . I had to put a 10 k resistor and a 15 k pot on mine to light it up bright but it appears to work . Still looking for the Z Concave mirror but its a nice project . Merry Christmas again only 5 days !!
Peace and good will . I have a cool little invention if you would like to see . Its made with a jule thief and does somthing that i got a lot of bad comments on . I do it everytime . I guess people just dont want to believe if they never saw it before . anyways here it is part 1 and 2 Its not a scam and i was told volts dont matter from some one who knows it all . Me i don't know nothing i guess but i like what i made anyway . before i made the video i have to pull the run battery because it was too high 1.7 volts so i put another in its place .

I can run mine on three the three different size magnets that I have. It might be the motor coil that you have. What I would try is this: Lose the high base resistance (use a 20 to 100 ohm just to protect the transistor a bit). Get a radio tuned to a null AM station near the coil and spin the magnet in front of the coil. You will hear the transistor firing on the radio if the magnet is triggering the circuit. The led will blink to firing. If that doesn't work you might try reversing the led hookup or try another one. I have had trouble with some (cheap China ones) just not working in this circuit.
And I'm not having a stroke, I was very tired, been shoveling snow for tow or three days straight. My next tests should be interesting as I have seen over 300 volts AC available in the harvest coils.
