Perception is reality. Remember, they used to call the existing Nuclear technology "clean." My limited understanding of thorium reactors is that they would produce "less" radioactive waste not none. Half life of radioactive waste of a thorium reactor is 300 years? Sure that beats 24,000 years but it still requires many generations to be rendered harmless.

I believe the worlds appetite is for NONE.

I still say, implement decentralized local clean scalable power units... this will revolutionize a new world.

Of the plant burning the hemp? Unfortunately, I suppose they 'scrub' it, or grow hemp with little to no THC content.Seriously, I live in Az., and they regularly confiscate multiple tons of MJ crossing the border.For many years, they used to periodically take it out and burn it, and yeah, you could get high from being down wind.Now they do it in incinerators, no more 'free high'
'Sewer gas' (methane) is something of a problem; in 1 sewage treatment plant in LA, they run 10 1000hp diesel engines off it.They use the diesels to run pumps, etc., but the main reason is it was the safest way they could come up with, to safely dispose of the gas.
Often wondered if an individual could run a hose, maybe with a snorkel on the end, a couple of hundred feet up the sewer line; run it thru a 'bubbler' to act as a 1 way valve, and feed the gas into a generator?
No doubt be in violation of all sorts of regulations, but they got to catch you, first, right?Just a thought,....Jim

One of the problems is that lots of people make the assumption that no one can be as evil as say Hitler. Because they assume, that because they are not - therefore no one else can or could be.

It's non THC Hemp - but at the quantities they burn it at, if you could cap the chimney - I'd be surprised if you *couldn't* get high off of it.

Anyway, on the war: I agree that the propaganda that has been pushed by the victors, has distorted the truth - to the point that very few people actually know what really happened (compared to the masses).

For example, when I did history at school, we covered WWII quite a bit (still have my course book). And not once was the Bombing of Dresden ever mentioned.

Or that Churchill wanted to drop anthrax on Germany (what other reason would he have for ordering half a million anthrax bombs, and sending fighter command the planning orders). If the RAF had done so, northern Europe would have had to have been.

Churchill may not have been Jewish - but he was certainly backed by a group of Zionist (the group didn't start off that way but that's what it became as the original and founding members were replaced by Zionist).

We're getting far of the topic, with this and the old 'who controls everything and always has' debate, as the topic was about China leading the way with Thorium reactors.Actually, I was more concerned with the story that China has plans to build 50 nuke reactors.And, as far as the Thorium, if the way they are hording their rare earth metals are any example, i doubt we'll see benefit from this anytime soon.Jim
