The problem with this whole mess is that it's going to wind up costing us much more than the ecological and economic damage already inflicted.
The ruling elite love to create the illusion of shortages. This spill plays right into that scenario.
You watch, there will be a ban on all new offshore drilling and the price of oil will rise because they will claim we're "running out of oil". Of course that's total BS, but the MSM won't dare to question their masters, so everyone will go right along with it.
This also plays into the particular fears of a short US domestic supply, which then further "justifies", in many peoples minds, the US military adventurism into oil rich countries in the middle east.
Whether this was an accident or intentional, we're going to be paying for this incident in money, environmental degradation and blood for many years to come.

If the truth about the size of the deposit tapped by this disastrous well were to be broadcast that would kill the myth of an oil "shortage". I've heard it said it is the largest known reserve and could be greater than the total used by all of man since the beginning of the age of petroleum. There were hints of this in some news reports that came out in the first days of the incident but was quickly forgotten as the rig sank and the calamity advanced.

Can't say where to find a reference on that, but hopefully a good researcher (or whistleblower) will find it and get the word out far enough that it spreads. However, if the situation advances the way some think it may, this is a moot point.

As always the main stream headlies are trying to spin the limited info and play on peoples ignorance. There has been some very good discussion of the subject occurring over at GLP. The BP Deep water horizon, Macondo Well Blowout. and what we are facing in the Gulf.

It's no good

Yeh...you can just about hear the planet screaming. Oil is a real horror because of its ability to spread in viscous manner and NOT break down in any tearing hurry. I believe the stats for rendering drinking water unsuitable for consumption is literally only 1 drop of machine oil per every 25 litres. Considering ALL the leaking wells in the world that are currently losing thousands of gallons 'slowly' (combined), you almost don't want to think about it too much. What about our leaking vehicles that drop oil on the road and washes down storm drains, then out to sea? This is actually a MASSIVE component (not even mentioning the other chemicals and fluids that society excretes). Unfortunately, as humans we are part of the greater hypocrisy. Every time we buy anything in a plastic bottle, please consider that it took half a litre of crude oil to make that plastic bottle!!

In the grand scheme of things though, as much as I weep about this oil spill it is a tiny scratch on what man has inflicted throughout history (and continues to do). I find it unbelievable that in Eastern Europe, one of the deepest lakes in the world (and purest CLOSED loop water sources) looks like it will have a massive chemical factory built on its shores. Where are they going to dump the waste you ask?? As ludicrous as it seems (and remember I said the lake is CLOSED loop) they are going to dump heavy metal crap right into the pristine waters. How stupid is mankind damnit!? Thats like being told you only have one litre of drinking water in a jug in your home and deciding to poop in it!

I see all these things happening and the only thing that brings me solace Ash is the fact that at some stage I know our Creator will step in and do something about it because he promises in Revelation 11:18 ...."to bring to ruin those ruining the Earth".

They should have dared the coast guard to arrest them and then resisted.
That kind of dissent is justified. Many times more people would be aware of
what they wanted to film if they did that. I would dare the coast guard
to arrest anyone under bp's "authority".

Since 19-eightees Ayhan Doyuk has been giving simple solution to completely and safely removing oil from water. In fact, it is more, the oil will mix with water or, if desired, it will be changed to white substance (fatty acids), which is food for water creates, and fall on the bottom, all within hours.
