In a strange way it may have been the best thing to happen. When I wasn't getting anywhere, I decided to try a completely different approach. I revisited what I was trying to accomplish in the first place which is to move the weights out as soon after 12:00 as possible and thought that maybe 'rotating' the weights in NOT the way to go. The build I'm working on now will linearly extend the weights out instead of rotate them. We'll see how that goes......
