Healthy Eating - nutrition recommendations and things to avoid

[NZ Chris]

Hi Gary,
Scroll up my man, huge info about food and microwaves earlier in the post.
Cheers,
Chris

[Gary]

wow

heh, how did I miss that!?

I have some reading to do...

[Aaron]

Hi,

Just recently I've read some research that said a microwave oven killed 99% (I think) of the bugs in a dishcloth after 2 min, and the other 1% after a further 4 min. A great way to steralize stuff

Best regards
Alan

Hi Alan,

It wasn't too long ago that an article came out about sterilizing sponges in microwaves. Many people tired it and people started to catch the sponges and microwaves on fire.

But then they had to quickly release a second article that let everyone know that the sponges must be WET.

[NZ Chris]

:-) that's as good as needing warning labels so folks don't use the hair drier in the shower.. LOL
Thanks for that, I needed a giggle!! :-)

[S.J]

This is good info - thanks!

[Flattlander]

Thank you

Aaron, and others, thank you so much for posting all this information. I have been looking for info on microwaves and other info for a while and had trouble finding a good (credible) source of info. I stopped drinking soda almost two years ago and lost ten pounds for that, just doing nothing else. I have cut out most processed foods from my diet, except at work when I get really hungry and that's all they have. I have lost forty pounds just doing that. I take supplements such as Aaron reccommended. I have no acne at all (I used to have it all the time). My nails are stronger and shinier. My PMS symptoms are almost nothing. Many benefits that I don't notice until someone else complains about something and I realize, hey I haven't had that problem in ages!! One thing I also did was go on a colon cleansing program for about a month. I meant to do it for longer, but I was having trouble sticking to it. This was all before I ever started PATHS. Now that I am on PATHS and becoming more focused and organized, I will try it again. (As Aaron mentioned about the white flour and processed foods caking and sticking in the digestive tract, this is why colon cleansing becomes necessary).

I have people constantly telling me, how great I look and how I have lost so much weight!!! I just started the take it off and ultimate body mods yesterday because although I have lost a lot, I am still about ten to fifteen pounds overweight. I lost it slowly, but I definitely need a boost to lose the rest. And the idea of toning my body is quite appealing. But what sold me the most on those mods, was people talking about how much energy they had. I am on several other mods, but still not feeling a whole lot of energy. (And I am taking a TON of spirulina too).

Confessions Of A Soft Drink

CONFESSIONS OF A SOFT DRINK

(By Dr. Aurelia Louise Jones)

Hello! I am a humble, effervescent liquid. Am I humble? Well... I guess this is debatable. Actually, I am quite proud of myself. Allow me to brag a little.

I fizz, sparkle and bubble my way into the guts of thousands of people all over the world every day. I HAVE MUCH POWER. I can cause masses of humanity to make beelines for snack dispensers in plush, high-rise buildings. I stir men, women and teenagers to dash into their cars late at night to speed to their nearest 24-hour convenience store. In their rush to have me, sometimes they have serious accidents. I motivate others to root through their purses or pockets for the last vestiges of pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters with which they will gladly part in exchange for me. The best thing about me is: I AM ADDICTING!

I am responsible for giving thousands of addicts their daily fixes. This is because I most of the time contain a substance called caffeine and several other toxic substances which is a stimulant.. It stimulates the heart of the people who drink me. As a matter of fact, it makes their hearts beat very fast and makes their nervous systems work like crazy. They feel as though they could take on the world. I tell you...I have OVERWHELMING PERSONAL MAGNETISM.

I am a sneaky double-agent too. I pretend to give people all the good they need because caffeine gives them a "lift". However, a few hours afterward, they come crashing down, get shaky and NEED ME AGAIN....for another pseudo-charge or another "fix". This plays havoc with their hearts and nerves but still, they look to me for relief and assistance. I feel very, very smug because I CALL THE SHOTS!

To give me an appetizing brown tint, I contain "caramel coloring" which has negative genetic effects and is a cancer-causing agent. Most of the time, I have polyethylene glycol as one of my ingredients. Glycol is used as an anti-freeze in automobiles and as an oil solvent. You can well imagine what I do to people's inside. To say the least, it causes DEGENERATION to millions of cells. Also, I often contain Aspartame that causes all kinds of central nervous system diseases, memory lost, blindness and even cause holes in the brain to appear in people and children who drink too much of ME.

The bubbles and fizz with which I potentially burn human insides is caused by my phosphoric acid and carbon dioxide. The phosphorus in the acid upsets the body's calcium-phosphorus ratio and dissolves calcium out of the bones. This can eventually result in OSTEOPOROSIS, a weakening of the skeletal structure which can make one susceptible to broken bones. Also, the phosphorus fights with the hydrochloric acid in human stomachs and renders it ineffective. This promotes indigestion, bloating and gas in many individuals. Carbon dioxide is a waste product exhaled by humans but they ingest it when they drink me.

I offer a selection of three types of sweeteners according to the customers' preference. They are: Saccharin or Aspartame in the diet type and white sugar and corn syrup in my regular drinks. These substances enhance my appeal and come disguised as "good for everyone". However, taste can be very deceiving! Let me explain.
SACCHARIN is an artificial sweetener which has been shown to cause cancer in laboratory animals. There are warning labels on all my containers. ASPARTAME comes under the brand name NUTRASWEET and has been linked to convulsions, depression, insomnia, irritability, weakness, dizziness, headaches, mood changes and mental retardation, and many other dreadful problems for humans. Even with all this information, I am so powerful and addictive, that they cannot stop "Drinking Me". How proud I am of my powers!

AND NO ONE SUSPECTS THAT IT'S ME CAUSING ALL THOSE PROBLEMS, BECAUSE THE "SO CALLED" HEALTH AUTHORITIES ENDORSE ME AND ALL THE TOXIC SUBSTANCES I CONTAIN BECAUSE THEY MAKE A BIG "$$$$$$$$" WITH ME. $$$$$$$ AND THAT SPEAKS LOUDER THAN THE CONCERN FOR PEOPLE'S HEALTH.

SUGAR and CORN SYRUP can induce both HYPOGLYCEMIA (low blood sugar and HYPERGLYCEMIA (high blood sugar as in diabetes). Studies done at the University of Alabama have shown that when healthy volunteers drank 24 ounces of a sugary cola drink it was very detrimental to their health. The good blood cells which attack harmful bacteria and viruses decreases substantially, thereby, reducing the body's immunity to disease. Sugar gives you a temporary"lift" or burst of energy, then sends you crashing down to a severe fatigue just like caffeine does. This way, I can make you into a real yo-yo. To get another "fix" you have to have more sugary drinks. This pattern exhausts the adrenal glands and leaves a person with a chronic tired feeling. Aren't my powers great, to control people like this?

GORGEOUS! THAT'S WHAT I AM! I come dressed in shiny metal cans in various colors and tints. Sometimes I am silver, sometimes gold, sometimes blue, red, etc. I beckon and dazzle so as humans stroll past me in the supermarket. On a hot day, I am especially attractive and hands reach for cases and cases of me to share with friends at picnics and parties. However, I am very tricky. My thirst-quenching liquid, which is at best a deception, is encased in the aluminum cans and contains traces of this same toxic metal. The acid in the soft drink eats away the aluminum which floats around until it is ingested by the consumer. ALUMINUM is a very toxic substance and builds up in the human body. It has a particular attraction for the brain and has been linked to degenerative senility afflictions such as ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND OTHER TYPES OF BONE AND MUSCLE DISEASES. These diseases cause a lot of pain in people's bodies and for which the medical profession has "no known cures". HA! HA! This is funny to me.

Many times humans think they can LOSE WEIGHT by drinking me in the "diet" form. NOT SO! My high sodium content helps them retain water in their bodies and they become bloated. Their kidneys and bladder do not function properly after a long time habit of soft drink intake. The ingredients in me destroy the beneficial flora of the colon, resulting in constipation. This locks the toxins in the body so they cannot be eliminated properly. The blood is not pure and as a result and the cells are weakened in their vitality.

In order to lose weight, fat must be flushed from the cells. The enzymes responsible for aiding the process of fat release are paralyzed when they are poisoned with such substances as me and cannot do their job properly. People DEFEAT THEIR PURPOSE when they try to lose weight by drinking me.

In conclusion, I would like to admit there is not a smidgen of humility in me. I am very EGOTISTICAL! I AM MASTER over much of the decision-making abilities of the human race. HA! HA Even the super stars "health professionals" medical doctors are addicted to me. You don't believe me? That is good for me. Look on school campuses, in city parks, at ball games, in business offices, at street corners, at parties, anywhere and everywhere...there are people who are trying to poison themselves by being so addicted to me. They are being brain-washed to the idea that I am good for them by the people who are making so much money selling me. Those people don't care if people are sick....they don't have to pay the bills. As long as they make their money....everything is O.K. One last word of advice my friend..... Ignorance is bliss.

SEE YOU AROUND...........I HOPE!

Wow, Aaron

I always knew that they weren't healthy, but this is unbelievable! Makes me extremely glad that I only like hot drinks, even in Summer. I'm a green tea lady.

I'm going to email this to my son however, as he's quite partial to Coke Cola.

Thanks for posting!

FDA says unmoved by aspartame cancer report

FDA says unmoved by aspartame/ cancer report

By Maggie Fox, Health and Science Editor Tue Jun 26, 3:09 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. consumer group called for an urgent Food and Drug Administration review of the safety of aspartame on Monday, but the FDA said there was no immediate need to do so despite a new study showing the sweetener may cause cancer.

if(window.yzq_d==null)window.yzq_d=new Object(); window.yzq_d['CcwUBdGDJHc-']='&U=13bmku33t%2fN%3dCcwUBdGDJHc-%2fC%3d581583.10530832.11346510.6052652%2fD%3dLREC %2fB%3d4597742';
Italian researchers published a new study last week that showed aspartame -- widely used in soft drinks -- might cause leukemia, lymphoma and breast cancer in rats.

"This is the second study by the same lab showing that aspartame causes cancer in rats," Center for Science in the Public Interest executive director Michael Jacobson said in a telephone interview.

Aspartame is used mostly in soft drinks but is also sold in packets to use in coffee, tea or on food. "People can easily avoid products using Nutrasweet or Equal and keep these products away from kids," Jacobson added.
Morando Soffritti of the Ramazzini Foundation in Bologna, Italy and colleagues tested aspartame in rats, which they allowed to live until they died naturally.

Their study of more than 4,000 rats showed a lifetime of eating high doses of the sweetener raised the likelihood of several types of cancer.
"On the basis of the present findings, we believe that a review of the current regulations governing the use of aspartame cannot be delayed," Soffritti's team wrote in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives, which is published by the U.S. National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.

"This review is particularly urgent with regard to aspartame-containing beverages, heavily consumed by children."

FDA spokesman Michael Herndon said the agency had not yet reviewed the study.

"However, the conclusions from this second European Ramazzini Foundation are not consistent with those from the large number of studies on aspartame that have been evaluated by FDA, including five previously conducted negative chronic carcinogenicity studies," Herndon said in an e-mail.

"Therefore, at this time, FDA finds no reason to alter its previous conclusion that aspartame is safe as a general purpose sweetener in food."
LETTING RATS LIVE

Jacobson said researchers in previous studies all killed rats at the age of two years. Allowing the rats to live longer may have been a better way to assess the natural risk of cancer, he said.

The CSPI said the Acceptable Daily Intake of aspartame in the United States is 50 mg per kilogram of body weight, equivalent to a 50-pound (20 kg) child drinking 2.5 cans of diet soda a day, or a 150-pound (68 kilogram) adult drinking about 7.5 cans a day.

The Italian researchers found a cancer risk at the very highest doses -- double the U.S. Acceptable Daily Intake.

A spokesman for Coca-Cola was not immediately available for comment.
Merisant, which makes Equal, has this statement on its Web site: "The safety of aspartame has been confirmed by regulatory authorities in more than 100 countries, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Health Canada, and the European Commission's Scientific Committee on Food, as well as by experts with the United Nations' Food and Agricultural Organization and World Health Organization."

Jacobson said people should avoid the product for now.

"People shouldn't panic, but they should stop buying beverages and foods containing aspartame," he advised.

Hexagonal Water-The Key is in the Geometry.

I have just boughten a bottle of this....it is water that has been programned to with different types of energy. I beleive Masuru Emoto has a type of this water for sale as well now.

On the website they say to use distilled water, so I was surprized when Aaron said to never drink distilled water....the reason they say to use distilled is because there is nothing in it to effect how the hexagonal water works.

It is interesting, I just checked their website though and it seems to be down...

[Aaron]

distilled water

Hi Nadine,

Distilled water is essentially a solvent and will leach minerals/salts from the body and over time will bring mineral levels to a dangerously low level, cause stomach aches and digestive problems. Distilled water should only be drank to reduce this kind of build up but not as a primary source of water.

Most people who have distillers will take that water then add liquid ionic trace minerals back to the water to re-mineralize it.

There is no distilled water in a drinkable form in nature it is always mineralized. We can't drink precipitation right out of the air.

If the hexagonal water is meant to be taken in smaller amounts as more of a supplement and not a primary source of water, it is probably fine.

I've been involved with many water technologies to restructure water and to erase its programming. Also, many water wetting technologies. Everything from high frequency devices to water additives. The hexagonal water will automatically be more wet by the shape. It is the bonding angle of the H and O that determines the geometry of how the water will shape itself when frozen as in Emoto's demonstrations.

I couldn't get to that site either.

[Keoi]

We use blue water. Based from of Ho' oponopono. The hardest part was finding enough blue bottles. We ended up buying vodka in a blue bottle, throwing the vodka out for the bottle!
Aaron, what do you know of blue water?

Aloha

Hexagonal water using distilled water

I can't find the website that explains it best (have it at home) but the hexagonal water purifiers use distilled water so the minerals and chemicals in the tap/spring water don't a) gunk up the machines and b) don't alter the mineralization process.

These machines change the molecular structure of the distilled (dead) water to pure form - like snow flakes (as mentioned above) and they also mineralize the water and cause it to be Ph balanced. So even though you are starting with distilled water, you are ending up with reconstructed water in its purest form - supposedly perfect for drinking, etc.

We have been using this for almost a year now and we like it very much. We wouldn't drink straight distilled except for specific purposes. Plants especially like the reconstructed water, they seem to grow faster and stay greener.

[CosmicFarmer]

I was under the impression that radiation heated up material by splitting the molecular bonds between atoms and the resultant heat was chemical in nature, not friction. If you get down small enough, the borders tend to blur.

I'm reading all over the place that basically microwaves turn each molecule of water into a motor, which is destroyed due to excess speed.

Is the heating effect a chunk of plutonium has, and the heating effect in your microwave different? why use the same word "radiation" to describe it?
Thanks.

Try to remove corn from your diet ...

International Journal of Biological Sciences
Research Paper
A Comparison of the Effects of Three GM Corn Varieties on Mammalian Health (PDF) Int J Biol Sci 2009; 5:706-726

We present for the first time a comparative analysis
of blood and organ system data from trials with rats fed three main
commercialized genetically modified (GM) maize (NK 603, MON 810, MON 863),
which are present in food and feed in the world.
...Our analysis clearly reveals for the 3 GMOs new side effects* linked with
GM maize consumption, which were sex- and often dose-dependent.
Effects were mostly associated with the kidney and liver, the dietary
detoxifying organs, although different between the 3 GMOs. Other effects
were also noticed in the heart, adrenal glands, spleen and haematopoietic system.
We conclude that these data highlight signs of hepatorenal toxicity ...

These toxic effects where found when 11% of food consumed was GM maize feed.

* study reported newly found side effects, not previously known ones.
Hepatorenal syndrome is a life-threatening medical condition that consists of rapid deterioration
in kidney function in individuals with cirrhosis or fulminant liver failure.
