Discussion:

General	- the VIC is a key-component in SM technology. Its used in different modes
> steam resonator
> injectors
> Gas Processor
> With and without chokes
> In some cases the HV output is constant (rippling HV), in other cases intermediate
> The construction is filigran, wires burn out at non resonant high amp situations
> No idea wheather the magnetic flux is disturbed or dimensions allow to add a simple changeable temperature fuse or thermal resistor to the bobbins. So for safety control amp control seems to be necessary.

L1	- primary windings of the VIC
L2	- resonant sense windings of the VIC

U1	- analog voltage regulation

as long as there is no resonant condition, in frequency sweep and search mode of the oscillator the voltage must be low. Otherwise the VIC would burn out. To realize the step charging effect meyer describes the voltage change must be fast. The only way we found out to regulate up yet is analog amp regulation with cascaded power transistors or darlington.
There is no experience up yet according to amps in the primary windings, voltage backs at pulse off condition, arcing situations in the processing stages etc. so the voltage at pulse on condition should be measured to regulate the effective voltage at the primary (U2)

U2	- voltage feedback at pulse on condition
U3	- power switch for the VIC. Pulse frequency between 5 kHz and < 100 kHz

U4	- amp sensor for emergency shutdown and measurement of changes at the processing stages (air flow in the GP, water pressure changes etc.). I have no idea when the amp flow must be measured, maybe it must be integrated to time.

U5	- sensor detects resonant condition
